The Freetown Music Festival on Lumley Beach is an annual event for the last few years, and is a great opportunity for people to hear local artists for a nominal entry fee of 5,000 Leones (less than €1). We went on the second and last night of the festival and brought the kids along.
They loved when darkness fell and stage lights came on (2 music stages and a cinema under the stars showing locally shot documentaries). The event was due to start at 6pm, but by 9pm there was still no live act! Kids didn't care though - along with Festina and Mohamed, kids of friends, our 2 thought the stage was just for them and danced to the recorded music for the amusement of all there!
